Questions
How fast will I see new clients?
Honest answer: SEO usually takes 3–6 months to build. Months 1–3 are the build; enquiries typically grow from months 3–6. I promise effort and clear tracking, not guaranteed client numbers. Before we start, I'll record your baseline (site visits, profile views, enquiries) so you can see real progress.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your domain, website and profiles are yours. If you ever leave, you keep everything.
Is there a contract?
Plans are month to month.
Will you ever need client information?
Never. I work only on your public presence. Please don't send any client or health information.
Are you a therapist?
I'm a counselor in training. I offer marketing and web services, not counseling, but I understand the ethics and care your work requires.
From the audits
Common mistakes I see
Opening with credentials
"LCSW, EMDR-trained, twelve years' experience" matters, but it isn't what someone in pain is looking for in the first two sentences. Lead with their experience, then earn trust with your background.
Listing every specialty
Twenty issues reads as none. Three to five, clearly described, read as expertise, and they give you something specific to build pages around.
Hiding fees and availability
People assume the worst and move on. Stating your fee, your insurance status and whether you're taking clients saves everyone a wasted call.
A Google listing nobody has touched
Wrong category, old hours, no photos. It's often the first thing a local searcher sees, and it takes an afternoon to fix.
Contact forms that invite health details
A form asking "what brings you to therapy?" collects sensitive information through a tool that usually isn't HIPAA-compliant. Keep forms brief and move the details to a secure intake.
